The Open Hands Free Pantry was organized in 2008 as a cooperative effort of several Springfield area United Methodist Churches. The mission on the Open Hands Free Pantry is to support the material and spiritual needs of people in the Springfield and Clark County area. We take seriously Christ’s call to feed the hungry and clothe the needy. We also try to embody the freely given grace of God to all of God’s children. That is why we developed this ministry where anyone in need can receive food, clothing, and small household items–ALL AT NO COST TO THEM.
Open Hands-Free Pantry, formally Open Hands-Free Store has moved and is now located inside Covenant United Methodist Church at 529 Johnny Lytle Avenue, Springfield, OH 45506. Food boxes and Clothing vouchers will be distributed on these days. Open Hands-Free Pantry is no longer accepting food, clothing, or household donations. Monetary donations are welcome to assist in the purchase of food items.
