Serving families and children ages birth through 17, our goal is to help children and youth know that they are deeply loved by God, that they can love themselves, and that they can love others. Through a variety of experiences, children travel their unique faith journey through fun, worship, learning and serving others.

Youth Worship
For those with children, we want you to know that children are welcome in all aspects of the life of our church, and especially in our times of worship.
We have created a task force to re-create, re-imagine, re-envision our nursery and childcare programs. Your voice is important! In the meantime, children are welcome in the Sanctuary/Commons area, during the church service. And we understand they are children!

Worship Service - Our mission is to educate, equip, encourage and introduce children to Christ and to prepare them for worship in the regular service. We teach and train children about worship, worshipful attitudes, and the purpose of worship using a variety of styles. Youth are given the opportunity to learn new exciting ways to praise and worship GOD through dance, singing, music, arts, etc. God’s Word is presented to the youth weekly in ways that they are able to comprehend. Our goal is to raise our next generation to be worshipers of God, to teach them to experience the Glory of God through worship, and to leave a legacy of worshipers.

Family & Friends Youth Worship ( Every 5th Sunday of the Month) – High Street UMC’s Fifth Sunday Youth Worship is not available at this time. Our task force is in the process of re-creating and reimagining this service for a restart in the fall.

Nursery
Our Nursery provides a safe, clean environment for our youngest ages (0 – 3) to explore, play and learn those essential life skills of sharing and caring for their neighbors. The nursery is staffed by quality, trained adults who have a passion for working with this age group. The space also has a live feed of the worship services so parents can comfort their child while still engaging in worship. And the nursery is also only steps away from a wonderful playground which is accessible directly from the building and properly gated for safety.
Parent's Night Out
We know parenting is no easy task, so we periodically offer evenings out for parents to get away while enjoying the peace of mind that their children are well taken care of and able to spend time with their friends in a safe space. Dinner is provided for your children, as well as lots of fun activities!

Family Fun Events
In addition to our Parents’ Night Out, we try to provide a good mix of events families can attend together. These may be specifically children’s family events or church-wide family events that all ages can enjoy.
Vacation Bible School
Each summer, we hold Vacation Bible School for children age 4 through fifth grade in the fall. Our program normally runs Sunday through Thursday evenings, 6:00 to 8:15 pm, during the week that contains August 1. The children participate in a wide range of fun activities and grow in their faith during this week. All children are welcome to attend, whether or not their families worship here.
